Validating the Payroll Process
During the payroll process, PrismHR performs validations in the Users form. A system administrator can suppress these for payroll processors to prevent any of these validations or warning messages.

| Lock Out - Calculation | This validation occurs when a system administrator has executed a system-wide lockout from the payroll calculation process. System administrators might do this when they must apply an emergency patch that affects the payroll calculation process. A system administrator can then suppress this validation and have one user test the updated process before allowing any other payroll processors to proceed. |
| Service Type "HRN" - Calculation | If a client's service type is HRN (HR Services Only), the system does not allow users to calculate a payroll for the client. |
| Payroll Processing Through Date - Calculation/Finalization | This validation compares the value of the Payroll Processing Through Date set on the Lockout Payroll Processing Control Date form to the pay date being processed. If the payroll processing date is earlier than the pay date, the system prevents the process from continuing. |
| 7 Days Future - Calculation | This validation does not allow the calculation to proceed if the pay date is more than seven days in the future. |
| ACH Days Warning - Calculation/Finalization | This is a warning that the system displays if the pay date is not far enough into the future to meet the ACH processing deadline. |
| Lock Out - Finalization | This validation occurs when a system administrator has executed a system-wide lockout from the payroll finalization process. System administrators might do this when they must apply an emergency patch that affects the payroll finalization process. A system administrator can then suppress this validation and have one user test the updated process before allowing any other payroll processors to proceed. |
| Do Not Service - Finalization | This validation does not allow the finalization process to proceed if the client is marked as Do Not Service. |
| Payroll Calculation Timing | This is a warning that the system displays if the payroll calculation was not completed on the same day as the finalization. |
| Re-Start Warning - Finalization | This is a warning that the system displays if it detects that the user is restarting the payroll finalization process. |
| Post Time Cutoffs - Finalization | This validation fails if the time at which the payroll finalization process starts is beyond any of the process cutoff times defined. |
| Terminated Client - Finalization | This validation checks the client status before termination. |
| Validate Pay Date (LE/LT Today) | This validation is based on the value of the Validate Pay Date Code value in System Parameters. |
| SUTA State Lockdown | This validation is based on the SUTA state lockdown rules defined in the system. |
| Payroll Finalization Warning | If this is selected, then the user can see the Finalize All button in SuperBatch. |
